# Multiply

## Overview

![The Multiply Node.](/files/-MIxaULXEKHdBCl-QYkW)

**Multiply** is a *basic arithmetic operation* **Node** that outputs the product of all the values provided in the `Input` **Sockets**.

This is the equivalent of the multiplication (`*` or `x`) operation in computer science and mathematics.

## Attributes

| Attribute        | Type                                          | Description                                                                                        |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `Data Type`      | **Drop-down**                                 | The type of data that will be plugged into the `Input` **Sockets**.                                |
| `Default Inputs` | *Defined in the `Data Type`* ***Attribute***. | The amount of `Input` **Sockets** and their default values if they have no data connected to them. |

## Inputs

| Input             | Type                                          | Description                                                           |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| *Pulse Input* (►) | **Pulse** | A standard input **Pulse**, to trigger the execution of the **Node**. |
| `Input [n]`       | *Defined in the `Data Type`* ***Attribute**.* | The values to be multiplied together.                                 |

## Outputs

| Output             | Type                                          | Description                                                                                                                            |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| *Pulse Output* (►) | **Pulse** | A standard output **Pulse**, to move onto the next **Node** along the **Logic Branch**, once this **Node** has finished its execution. |
| `Output` | *Defined in the `Data Type`* ***Attribute**.* | The product of all the values provided in the `Input` **Sockets**. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.incari.com/incari-studio/2021.1/toolbox/math/multiply.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
